Former members of the renowned girl group SexBomb Girls, Aira Bermudez and Sugar Mercado, recently shared their insights into the ongoing issue involving Izzy Trazona, another former SexBomb dancer, and her son Andrei.
During an interview on the program ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ hosted by veteran TV personality Boy Abunda, Aira Bermudez and Sugar Mercado engaged in an open discussion about various aspects of their current lives and careers.
They also took the opportunity to provide their thoughts on the highly publicized issue surrounding Izzy Trazona-Aragon and her son Andrei.
In a recent social media post, Izzy expressed her lack of support for her son Andrei’s decision to pursue a career as a drag queen. The post generated a wide range of reactions from the public and sparked conversations about parenting and acceptance.
Aira Bermudez stressed her understanding of Izzy’s perspective but recommended that family matters of such sensitivity should not have been addressed via social media.
She commented, “Kasi ‘yan si Izzy kumare ko ‘yan, mahal ko ‘yan. Meron siyang pinaninindigan at pinaniniwalaan. ‘Yung faith niya kay God, kailangan nating irespeto ‘yun at ‘yung gustong mangyari ng anak niya kailangan din nating irespeto, ‘yun naman ang laging tinuturo sa atin.”
Additionally, Aira stated, “Pero sana ‘yun lang, pagdating sa problema ng pamilya, ‘yung sinasabi natin palagi, when it comes to social media, ‘Think hard before you click,’ kasi ‘yung personal na buhay natin hindi naman nila gustong malaman ‘yun. Sana na lang, nag-usap sila, hindi sa social media.”
Sugar Mercado shared her viewpoint, saying, “Ako naman po, ire-relate ko rin po sa pagiging nanay ko kasi kahit sino naman po sa atin, kahit sinong mahal natin sa buhay at lalo na’t anak mo, andiyan po ‘yung iingatan mo, gusto mong maging maganda ‘yung buhay niya.
“Naiintindihan ko rin po si Ate Izzy. Ang pinaglalaban naman po niya dito ‘yung Panginoon na, wala nang kahit na sino, kaya hindi ko rin po siya masisisi. Pero agree rin po ako kay Ate Aira na sana nag-usap na lang po sila.” Sugar added.
Presently, Aira Bermudez is enjoying a new chapter in her life in Australia with her husband, while Sugar Mercado is fully dedicated to her role as a mother, caring for her two children.
