The Kapamilya action drama sits comfortably at the top of the rating chart, as it maintains a wide lead over its rival show on its timeslot.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo leaves no room for doubt that it is the most watched TV show in the country, afte holding on to the top position on the ratings table, uninterruptedly for six straight airing days.
From September to 11 to 15, the pilot week of its new rival Kapuso show, Maging Sino Ka Man, the Coco Martin-topbilled teleserye posted an average people ratings ot 16.0, based on the data provided by Nielsen Philippines. That’s nearly 5 points higher than the new contender, whose aggregated ratings are notably pushed upward by delayed airings on GTV. FPJ’s Batang Quiapo has no delayed telecast, which makes its victory in the aggregated ratings game, even more commendable.
Marking the first lead teleserye of Barbie Forteza and David Licauco a.k.a. #BarDa, as a loveteam, Maging Sino Ka Man, evidently struggled to catch up with the action-drama juggernaut of ABS-CBN. Its pilot people rating of 11.4 is notably the lowest achieved by any Kapuso show premiering on the 8 PM time slot, since ABS-CBN shutdown. It is also 4 point lower than Maria Clara At Ibarra‘s pilot episode rating of 15.4. The Kapuso period-drama as most can recall, gave birth to Forteza and Licauco’s loveteam.
Maging Sino Ka Man logged 11.9, 11.3. 11.0, and 11.1 people ratings, from Tuesday, September 13 to Friday, September 15, respectively.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, on the other hand, widened its advantage on kept its 4 to 5-point average lead, from Tuesday to Friday, posting 16.8, 15.7, 16.1, and 16.0 people ratings, respectively. It can be noted that the 16.8 it pulled off on Tuesday, September 12, is the highest people rating ever recorded by a Kapamilya show, since ABS-CBN got forced to go off air on free television in May 2020.
