On August 23, Congressman Sam ‘SV’ Verzosa highlighted what viewers could expect from the third season of ‘Dear SV.’
At the ‘Sharing the Value of Caring’ event at Sala Bistro in Greenbelt 3, Makati City, which LionhearTV covered, Verzosa revealed that he plans to resume taping his CNN Philippines show ‘Dear SV’ by November.
“Siguro po by, kasi po medyo busy po kami sa Congress. Alam ninyo po ang pagsho-shoot ng ganitong klaseng programa lang na sarili mong programa na public service and no-less than CNN Philippines pa ‘yung–international channel ‘to so kailangan talaga ayusin natin ‘to. Three times a week.
“Medyo busy po sa Congress so pahinga po, pero by November po siguro masisimulan po natin ‘yung Season 3.”
He also noted that they already have case studies lined up for the people they would feature in their public service program.
“May mga case studies na po, alam ko may mga pinakita na sa akin ‘yung mga researchers. Mga deserving po na mga kababayan po natin na tutulungan. So naka-line up na po ‘yan. Iba’t ibang mga kababayan natin. Maraming stories.”
He then discussed their plan to include immersions for him while featuring their case studies.
“Tsaka medyo mas mahirap ata ‘tong Season 3 na ‘to kasi talagang mas–may kaunting immersion na mangyayari. Mararanasan ko ‘yung nararanasan din nila, although okay lang naman po kasi karamihan po dito– noong nagsimula po ako dito kabado ako, kasi napaka–first time ko mag-host ng sarili kong programa.”
He added about their objective of including celebrities and personalities when featuring their case studies.
“Yung Dear SV kasi, aside from giving them sustainable livelihood or medical health or scholarship. May mga iba tayong mga kaibigan na celebrities na tumutolong. So sa nakita ninyo po kanina, nandoon po ‘yung ibang mga idol ng mga tinutulungan natin.”
Verzosa talked about his hosting training after working with Willie Revillame in Tutok-To-Win.
“Ang training ko lang ‘yung kay Kuya Wil dati, nagfo-focus kami, pero parang variety show, medyo masaya. Ito medyo seryoso. Minsan nakakalungkot pa nga, nakaka-ano ng puso. Kasi malalaman mo ‘yung story nila. Right there and then, makikita mo ‘yung kalagayan nila, makikita mo ‘yung kamag-anak nila na may sakit, makikita mo ‘yung kalagayan ng buhay nila.”
His public service TV program, ‘Dear SV,’ premiered in February 2023 and recently finished its second season on CNN Philippines.
