On September 4, 2023, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) made the decision to suspend the live noontime program “It’s Showtime!” for a duration of 12 airing days.
This suspension came after numerous complaints from viewers regarding the episode that aired on July 25, 2023, during which the program’s hosts were alleged to have engaged in indecent behavior within the segment titled “Isip Bata” (Child’s Mind).
The case was referred to the MTRCB’s Hearing and Adjudication Committee, which conducted a comprehensive review, mandating that respondents submit their position papers in accordance with established procedures.
