On January 18, actress Rhen Escaño considered Carlo Aquino and Paulo Avelino her ideal leading man.
At the media event for her endorsement with the gaming brand CC6 Online Casino, which LionhearTV covered, Escaño recounted working with Aquino in their past project.
“Ako po noong nag-start po ako, sobrang fan ako ni Carlo Aquino na naka-work ko na si Caloy doon po sa past ko na project ko sa Viva One sa Kung Di Lang Tayo Sumuko.”
She then remarked that she would always have Aquino on her list of actors she wants to work with in future projects.
“And noong naging friends kami, parang ay iba nalang pala. Ay di joke lang. Siya pa rin, napakagaling po talaga ni Carlo Aquino. Lagi po siyang nasa listahan ko kahit anong mangyari.”
She then noted her first meeting with Avelino, praising the actor’s talent.
“And magkakilala po kami ni Paulo Avelino. Parang one time, parang nag-dinner kami with friends. So nakilala ko siya doon for the first time and then nakita ko na parang magaan siyang ka-work and napakagaling niyang actor.”
She admitted that she became a fan of the Prime Video series Linlang, especially with Avelino’s performance.
“Sobrang fan po ako ng Linlang, pinanood ko po talaga, sobrang nilo-look forward ko po na ‘yung mga katulad ni Carlo Aquino, ni Paulo Avelino, sana mabigyan nila ako ng chance na maka-work. Mas gusto ko ‘yung ganon, ‘yung ka-eksena mo pa lang marami ka ng matutunan.”
When asked about her career, Escaño surmised that she was lucky for her recent projects in 2024, including her endorsement with CC6 Online Casino, because she was not so fortunate with her love life.
“May mga napanood po akong pelikula na kapag swerte ka daw sa love life, malas ka sugal, malas ka sa money, hindi ka sineswerte sa mga pa-raffle ‘yung mga ganon.
“So parang kaya siguro ako sinuswerte sa career kasi medyo hindi ako maswerte sa love life ngayon. Minsan nga kapag nafe-feel ko na parang in a relationship ako. Tapos parang medyo nagiging masaya, parang natatakot ako na baka walang project na dumating kasi masyado akong masaya sa love life.”
Escaño’s manager, veteran showbiz host and columnist Aster Amoyo, and top casino executive Jev Frago were present during the contract signing event.
Frago highlighted that CC6 Online Casino grew thanks to 600,000 daily active users in three years. They believe partnering with Escaño as their endorser would further expand their platform and patrons.
To add to the festivities, the online casino celebrates its anniversary with Escaño through a special gift package worth P10 million for their current members, which CC6 Online Casino would also donate the same amount to their charity partners.
