Controversial Drag Queen Pura Luka Vega revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that they suffered an arm injury following an incident with a driver from the ride-hailing app, MoveIt, this afternoon.
In their post, Pura recounted the encounter, stating, “Dun kay ate na nakabangga namin ng Move It driver ko, technically hit and run po ang nangyare. Gets ko may pasok ka pero ate may sugat po braso ko. 🙃”

They also offered a suggestion to MoveIt, saying, “@moveitph perhaps you can help all drivers be oriented if this ever happens again. We want to be safe for both drivers and commuters. Thank you.”
When asked about their condition, Pura simply replied, “Ok lang naman. mejo masakit lang wrist ko at may sugat lang ako sa balikat. Naloka lang ako na bigla na lang umalis si ate kasi may work pa daw sya. 🙃”
In a separate development, it was revealed that one of the legal cases against Pura Luka Vega was recently dismissed. According to an excerpt shared by Pura on X (formerly Twitter), the dismissal was attributed to a lack of probable cause.
Rod Singh, a spokesperson for Pura, confirmed that the case dismissed pertained to an incident in Tacloban City.
Pura Luka Vega has been embroiled in controversy following their viral ‘Ama Namin’ performance, which garnered complaints from religious groups. The drag artist has also faced criticism and has been declared “persona non grata” in various regions across the country.

Pura clarified that their intention with the ‘Ama Namin’ remix was to offer a version of Christ that resonated with the queer audience, emphasizing that it was not intended to be disrespectful.
In a previous incident in October, Pura was arrested following a legal complaint filed by religious leaders, alleging violations of Revised Penal Code Article 201 and attacks on religious beliefs. Subsequently, Pura filed a motion for bail, which included a request to reduce the bail bond, leading to their release from detention.
