Sen. Robin Padilla leads graduation of Senate Employees as AFP Reservists

Senator Robin Padilla spearheaded the graduation ceremony for new Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) reservists, held at the Philippine Navy headquarters in Manila on June 4, 2024.

The ceremony honored 48 Senate employees who completed their Basic Citizen Military Course (BCMC), now known as the Sandigan Alab Batch 10. Among the graduates was actress and Senate staff member Nadia Montenegro.

In his address, Senator Padilla commended the graduates for achieving a milestone he wished he had accomplished in his youth.

He expressed immense pride in the graduates for overcoming their self-doubt and completing the rigorous training.

Padilla highlighted the significance of self-discipline and self-mastery, crucial traits for personal and national defense.

He also encouraged the new reservists to promote the benefits of ROTC training, especially to the younger generation, as the nation faces various security challenges.

Padilla emphasized the importance of unity and discipline, asserting that every Filipino has the potential to excel if they work together. Pag wala yung ‘O’, disgrasya tayo diyan,” he noted.

Concluding his speech, Padilla expressed hope that the new reservists would inspire others to stand up and conquer their fears. “At conquer-in din nila yung sarili nila. At kailanman, hindi ka magiging servant,” he said.
