Kapuso star Bianca Umali has addressed persistent rumors that she and long-time boyfriend Ruru Madrid are already married and living together.
In a recent interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ Bianca clarified the state of their relationship and put to rest speculation surrounding their personal lives.
During the interview on Tuesday, October 29, the actress acknowledged that she and Ruru are in a committed relationship that has lasted seven years, but she stressed that they are not yet married and do not share a home.
“Klaruhin natin. Kami po ni Ruru ay, of course, we are on our 7th-year-of-the-relationship. Of course, our conversations are there,” Bianca revealed, confirming their commitment to one another. “Pero sa ngayon, mina-maximize po namin ang aming individual careers. At oo, madali lang pong sabihin na handa na kaming magpakasal. Because in our hearts, we are really ready.”
She continued by firmly denying rumors of marriage, saying, “Hindi pa po kami kasal. At definitely, hindi po kami magsasama nang hindi kami kasal.”
Bianca also noted that cohabiting is against her and Ruru’s religious beliefs, stating that marriage is something they’re saving for when they are fully ready.
Speculation initially gained traction after Bianca’s recent appearance on It’s Showtime, where fans speculated that her comments hinted at an upcoming wedding.
