Omoda & Jaecoo, two sub-brands of Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co. Ltd., have officially entered the Philippine market, unveiling their first lineup of vehicles and an aggressive dealership expansion plan.

The brand’s grand launch, held at BGC Arts Center in Taguig City, introduced Filipino consumers to its highly anticipated models: the Omoda C5 crossover, the Omoda E5 electric vehicle (EV), and the Jaecoo EJ6 premium SUV.

According to Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines CEO Xiantian Shen, the brand aims to set itself apart through a strong dealership network, competitive pricing, and extensive warranty coverage.

Omoda & Jaecoo’s initial models are priced to challenge existing brands in the Philippine market:

Omoda C5 (Crossover SUV)

  • Lifestyle variant – ₱998,000
  • Comfort variant – ₱1,159,000
  • Luxury variant – ₱1,279,000
  • Launch Promo: ₱10,000 reservation deposit = ₱110,000 discount (valid until June 30, 2025)
  • Free 2-year Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS)

Omoda E5 (Electric SUV)

  • Price: ₱1,699,000
  • Includes: Portable charger, wall charger, and 2-year PMS
  • Launch Promo: ₱20,000 reservation deposit = ₱220,000 discount (valid until June 30, 2025)

Jaecoo EJ6 (Premium SUV, Hybrid)

  • Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant – ₱1,649,000
  • All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant – ₱1,799,000
  • Includes: Portable charger, wall charger, and 2-year PMS

Omoda & Jaecoo offers one of the most comprehensive warranty packages in the market:

  • Vehicle Warranty: 7 years or 200,000 km
  • Engine Warranty: 10 years or 1,000,000 km
  • Battery Warranty (EVs): 8 years or 200,000 km

This extensive warranty aims to ensure long-term reliability and consumer confidence, making O&J a compelling choice for Filipino car buyers.

Omoda & Jaecoo currently operates six dealerships in the Philippines but aims to expand aggressively to 24 locations by the end of 2025.

Dealerships under construction in Metro Manila: Pasig (Marcos Highway), Alabang, Manila (UN Avenue); Existing provincial dealership locations: Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Cebu City, Tagum; Planned future dealership locations: Quezon City, Makati, BGC, Las Piñas, Manila Bay, Marikina, Pampanga, Clark, Bulacan, Tarlac, Zambales, Pangasinan, Cagayan de Oro, Bicol, General Santos, Tacloban, Zamboanga, and Palawan.

Omoda & Jaecoo have rapidly expanded, entering 34 international markets in less than two years. The brand plans to reach 55 countries by 2025, strengthening its presence in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Recent global launches include: Spain, Poland, Italy, Brazil, and Malaysia; Upcoming expansions in Germany, Greece, the Czech Republic, the UAE, and Qatar.

According to Shawn Xu, CEO of Omoda & Jaecoo International, the brand sees huge potential in the Philippine market, especially following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Executive Order (EO) 12, which eliminated import duties on fully assembled EVs.

“The Philippines is a key market for us in Asia. We currently have six dealerships, but we plan to expand to 24 within the year to better serve Filipino consumers,” Xu said.

“In the next six months, we expect to reach 500 units per month in sales in the Philippines, scaling up to 1,000 units monthly by year-end,” he added.

Xu hinted that if demand remains strong, Omoda & Jaecoo may consider setting up a local manufacturing plant in the Philippines.

“We have seen great performance in Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. The Philippines is a promising market, and we are ready to invest further based on demand,” he said.

With its aggressive pricing, expansive dealership network, and unmatched warranty offers, Omoda & Jaecoo aims to disrupt the Philippine automotive industry.

Omoda & Jaecoo models are now available at select dealerships nationwide. Promo offers valid until June 30, 2025.
