Kapuso singer Jeremiah Tiangco is set to make his much-awaited return to ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ as he joins the All-Star Grand Resbakan, where 48 contenders from past seasons will compete once again.
Despite being the grand champion of ‘The Clash Season 2’, Tiangco said he is treating this as a fresh start, knowing that he will be competing against other top-tier singers.
“Back to zero po ito. Knowing na ganito ang mga kasabayan ko, dapat hindi ka relax, hindi ka kalmado sa mga pwedeng mangyari,” he shared.
The Sparkle artist admitted that his unfinished business in ‘TNT’ motivated him to rejoin the competition. His last attempt ended when he lost to Sofronio Vasquez, while also struggling with a hoarse voice at the time.
“’Yung pagkatalo ko po dito sa TNT, ‘yung huling laban ko which is kay Kuya Sofronio, paos ako, so ang dami kong unfinished business,” Tiangco recalled.
Now, with more experience and maturity, the singer believes he is better prepared for the competition.
“Noon, bata pa lamang ako, hindi pa ako matured enough para sumabak sa competition na iyon. Pero ngayon, marami na akong natutunan na puwede kong magamit sa laban na ito,” he said.
While he previously felt intense pressure in TNT, Tiangco now approaches the stage with more confidence and excitement.
‘Tawag ng Tanghalan: All-Star Grand Resbakan’ is set to showcase a high-stakes showdown as contenders from different seasons return to fight for supremacy.
The competition will be judged by a distinguished panel of Ogie Alcasid, Karylle and Louie Ocampo, with Pops Fernandez and Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha joining as new judges.
The grand battle begins next week on ‘It’s Showtime’, airing Monday to Saturday at 12 noon on GMA Network.
