Emilio Daez graces Metro Artist Spotlight where he opens up about his first lead role in the new ABS-CBN digital series “Love At First Spike.”
In the exclusive Metro feature, the rising Kapamilya actor told Metro that he wants to inspire others with stories that have a huge impact.
“Definitely, I want to leave a positive mark on this. I want to be able to tell stories that matter in this industry. Hopefully, I get to spark inspiration in others and be able to tell stories that impact people and do those projects well,” he said.
In the sports drama series “Love At First Spike,” Emilio portrays Uno, a former basketball captain who was embroiled in a controversy leading him to take a chance in the school’s struggling volleyball men’s team. He shares the screen with Sean Tristan and Reign Parani.
To prepare for his role, Emilio shared that he trained with professional athletes to perfect the character of Uno. He said, “Binigyan kami ng opportunity to train and we trained with coaches of Philippine men’s volleyball team and professional teams in the Premier Volleyball League.”
He also expressed his excitement and gratitude as the show made its premiere on iWantTFC last Friday (June 20).
“It’s been nerve-wracking. I’m very excited to see how the show is really coming out. We’ve been working very, very hard, and it’s just been such an amazing experience,” he said.
