We were invited to the exciting relaunch of Otoki Jin Ramen held last May 24 at the SM Megamall Game Park, and from the moment we entered, it was clear this wasn’t just your typical brand event.
Guests were handed game passports, turning the venue into a mini playground with ramen at the heart of it all.
One of the boxes on the passport required us to try the new Otoki Jin Ramen — and despite the spicy variety, it was surprisingly manageable (yes, even for someone not into heat!). Sampling the ramen was a treat in itself, but the experience didn’t end there.
We tried our hand at bowling and darts — though more for trial than triumph — but what really stood out was the gel blaster firing station, which wasn’t even part of the official game list but definitely stole the spotlight for sheer thrill and fun.
This immersive launch was part of Otoki Philippines’ celebration of the global rebranding of their iconic instant noodle line, now reintroduced with sleek, modern packaging featuring global ambassador Jin of BTS. The revamped look was unveiled during the “Jin-Credible Glow Up” event, where over 100 guests — including media, KOLs, and BTS ARMY groups — got the first look at the new bowls and cups carrying Jin’s image.
Attendees enjoyed a series of interactive stations, from basketball shots and dart games to bowling and ramen-tasting, all while earning raffle entries for a chance to win gift packs, posters, plushies, and K-pop albums.
Mr. Edgar Allan Caper, Chief Marketing Officer of Nextrade Philippines, kicked off the short program by sharing Otoki’s vision and highlighting the brand’s collaboration with Jin as a strategic move to strengthen its global presence. Already rolled out in countries like the U.S., Canada, China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, Otoki Jin Ramen is clearly aiming for global domination — one delicious slurp at a time.
