Business manager Evelyn Labadlabad is considering legal action against her talent, social media personality Elias Lintucan—popularly known as Elias J TV—amid escalating personal and professional issues that have taken social media by storm.

In a media conference held on August 7 at the Century Park Hotel Manila, Labadlabad appeared alongside her legal team—composed of Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Atty. Raphael Andrada, Atty. Ivan Patrick Ang, and Atty. Ernst Salaveri—to formally address the issue. According to Labadlabad, she has already filed complaints against the first batch of vloggers, with up to 80 social media personalities potentially facing legal action for alleged online defamation and cyberbullying.
The controversy stems from viral photos showing Labadlabad in close proximity with Elias, sparking speculation about the true nature of their relationship and drawing criticism from Elias’ followers—some even accusing her of being a third party.
But Labadlabad denied any romantic involvement with Elias, stressing that their relationship is purely professional.
“Bilang manager po, tinanggap ko talaga siya bilang kapatid. That’s how I treat him—as family,” she said. “May asawa po ako. Hindi po ako mang-aagaw.”
She also revealed that she had reached out to Elias’ partner, Abegail Cariquitan, to clarify matters. “I even invited her to sit down and talk in Cebu. I explained it was all work—but I didn’t expect things to get worse.”
Labadlabad claims Abegail’s jealousy intensified, even over innocent photos, which she believes contributed to the issue going viral. Despite efforts to resolve the matter privately—including an attempt to speak with Abegail during a recent visit to her office—no reconciliation was made.
Elias, who has over 6.6 million followers on Facebook and 2.1 million on TikTok, signed a five-year contract with Labadlabad. The manager says she secured deals worth over ₱5 million for the artist, including a car purchase.
Despite the rift, Labadlabad expressed hopes for resolution through dialogue: “Kailangan natin itong pag-usapan. Hindi na dapat palalain pa.”
Meanwhile, Elias broke his silence on July 7 via Facebook, where he defended Abegail and refuted any romantic involvement with Labadlabad.
“Since the start of building my career, Abby has always been by my side. All I’ve ever dreamed of is to have a stable life with my family—together with Abegail and our son, Apollo,” he wrote in Bisaya (translated to English).
“To clarify things—what you’re thinking about me and Ma’am Beverly is wrong. What we have is purely work and nothing else.”
The rising internet star also appealed to the public to stop spreading false narratives, saying the issue has caused emotional distress to his family. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
