‘Crash Landing on You’ star Hyun Bin finally set foot in the Philippines, fulfilling a long-held wish to visit the country and personally thank his Filipino supporters.

The South Korean actor is in town for his highly anticipated fan meet and greet, happening tonight at Solaire Resort in Manila.
Speaking at a press conference held on Friday, August 8, in Pasay City, the 42-year-old actor was visibly moved by the reception he received.
“The Philippines had long been on my list,” Hyun Bin shared through an interpreter. “The unconditional and unchanging love and support from Filipino fans—I’m really grateful and honored to have this support. I hope to return it.”
Hyun Bin described his arrival as both “heartwarming” and “more amazing” than he expected.
“The way they have welcomed me is really heartwarming and more amazing than I expected. I’m surprised with the warm hospitality and bright energy,” he said.
The actor also revealed he got a taste of local cuisine—and was impressed.
“I also had a meal. It was very delicious and amazing,” he said. “I got a suggestion and recommendation for Filipino food, which was adobo, and it was very delicious. I enjoyed it.”
Though he has yet to explore the country in full, Hyun Bin said the hospitality alone has already left a lasting impression.
“I did not have so much time yet to go around and experience the Philippines, but the welcome I received is something I will not forget.”
This marks Hyun Bin’s first fan event in the Philippines, a milestone he’s both excited and emotional about.
“The fans here in the Philippines who have been loving me so much and have been supporting me so much—finally meeting them, I’m very, very excited and looking forward to it and to the memories we can create together tonight.”
When asked what message he wanted to leave for his Filipino supporters, the actor did not hold back his appreciation.
“The unconditional and the unchanging love and support that I received from the Filipino fans—I am really, really grateful and honored. And with that love, I would like to return it through more projects and by becoming a better actor. Thank you so much for all your love and support.”

Hyun Bin is best known for his roles in hit Korean dramas such as ‘My Name Is Kim Sam-Soon’, ‘Secret Garden’, and ‘Memories of the Alhambra’. His international popularity soared in 2020 with ‘Crash Landing on You’, where he starred opposite Son Ye-jin, whom he later married in 2022.
He is set to return to screens later this year in the upcoming thriller series ‘Made In Korea’, which will premiere on Disney+.
Fans flooded social media with photos and videos of Hyun Bin’s arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Thursday night, further proving just how eagerly awaited his visit was.
