Actress and social media star Ivana Alawi once again showed her generosity and affection as she surprised Katie Halili, the daughter of actress Katrina Halili, with a fun-filled shopping spree for her 13th birthday.
According to Katrina, the heartwarming gesture started when Ivana came across one of Katie’s sweet messages online.
“Nagme-message kasi kami ni Ivana tapos nakita niya. Tapos minessage niya, pinakinggan ko, ang hina. Sabi, ‘Tita Ivana, kailan shop all you want?’” Katrina recalled.
Although she initially felt shy about it, Katrina said Ivana was more than happy to grant Katie’s wish. During the shopping trip, Ivana let Katie pick out her favorite toys — not just for herself, but also for her classmates and other kids.
The trio later spent the day bonding over ice skating, figurine painting, and slime-making before wrapping up their celebration with a meal at a restaurant. Katie even shared her blessings by giving away some of her new toys to other children they met at the mall.
One touching moment melted hearts when Katie told Ivana, “I miss Tita Ivana.” The actress lovingly replied, “Anytime you miss me, you can call me.” But Katie shyly answered, “Text na lang, ayaw kong magtawag… busy ka daw eh.”
Clearly touched by their bond, Ivana expressed how much she cherishes Katrina and Katie’s friendship. “Love na love ko si Ate Kat, love na love ko rin si Katie. Hindi na sila iba sa akin,” she said.
