Hosts Jackie Gonzaga and Cianne Dominguez are speaking up against online bashers calling for their removal from It’s Showtime, saying they’ve both worked hard to earn their place in the long-running noontime show.

In a candid interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, the two addressed the criticisms that have surfaced online, particularly comments from netizens questioning their hosting roles on the program.
Cianne, who rose to fame as a standout Sexy Babe contestant before joining It’s Showtime as a regular host, said she believes her presence on the show has a purpose.
“Talagang feeling ko nilagay ako ni Lord dito for a reason,” she said. “And I have God-given talents na kayang i-offer at alam kong ma-o-offer ko pa in the future. Kaya I’m here.”
Meanwhile, Jackie—one of ‘It’s Showtime’s’ most familiar faces—opened up about the challenges she faced before reaching her current position, emphasizing that nothing came easy for her.
“Pinaghirapan, ginapang, ginawa lahat, binigay lahat. Kaya for me, deserve ko din ‘yung posisyon na kung nasaan din po ako,” she said.
Jackie then likened ‘It’s Showtime’ to a family, saying that those outside of it shouldn’t be the ones deciding who stays or leaves.
“Feeling ko kasi du’n sa loob ng bahay namin ng It’s Showtime, ‘yung mga kapitbahay, parang hindi naman ata sila ‘yung magde-decide kung sino ‘yung mawawala sa pamilya na nandu’n sa bahay,” she said, earning laughs and applause from the audience.
When asked about how they handle bashers, Cianne admitted she sometimes responds—but with humor instead of anger.
“Minsan, pero more on ‘yung response ko, parang nang-aasar na lang rin ako. Parang puro GIFs,” she said, smiling.
The two hosts also discussed how they continue to support each other off-camera. Boy Abunda revisited the harassment incident Cianne experienced in 2024, where she was followed and nearly assaulted by a dancer at a bar. Jackie, her close friend, accompanied her to the police station and even helped question the suspect.
Cianne said the ordeal taught her the importance of forgiveness.
“More on forgiveness sa mga tao. Kasi ako, mabigat po sa loob ko na hindi mag-forgive na kahit ano’ng gawin sa’kin,” she shared.
‘It’s Showtime’ airs Mondays to Saturdays at 12 p.m. on GMA Network.
