Dreams are finally becoming reality for rising Viva Artists Agency star Rabin Angeles, who is set to headline his first-ever lead role in a major motion picture — the Philippine adaptation of the Korean hit ‘A Werewolf Boy’ under Viva Films and Studio Viva.

Known for his roles as Yuri Hanamitchi in ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E’ and as Drake Palma in the hit Viva One series ‘Seducing Drake Palma’, Rabin has steadily risen from campus heartthrob to one of today’s most promising young actors.
In ‘A Werewolf Boy’, Rabin takes on his most challenging role yet — that of a mysterious feral boy, originally portrayed by Korean superstar Song Joong-ki in the 2012 film. The character, though quiet and almost animalistic, carries deep emotional complexity — something Rabin is eager to explore.
“It’s thrilling and nerve-wracking at the same time,” Rabin said. “I studied films and performances to prepare, but I also want to make sure I bring something uniquely my own to the role.”
The actor revealed that taking on such an emotionally demanding character has pushed him beyond his comfort zone.
“It’s a different kind of challenge. It’s physical, emotional, and internal. But that’s what makes it fulfilling — I’m growing as an actor,” he added.
Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, who also helmed ‘Seducing Drake Palma’, the upcoming film gives Rabin the chance to show a new side of himself — one that goes beyond charm and kilig to genuine depth and passion.
Fans of “RabGel,” his love team with Angela Muji, are thrilled to see their favorite duo reunite for this project. But for Rabin, this film marks more than a reunion — it’s a defining milestone in his acting journey.
“This is my dream project,” he shared. “I want to make everyone who believed in me proud — my fans, my team, my family.”
With filming now underway, ‘A Werewolf Boy’ is expected to be a turning point for Rabin Angeles — the moment he truly howls his way into leading-man territory.
