Veteran entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin has come to the defense of Senate President Tito Sotto after former ‘Eat Bulaga’ host Anjo Yllana once again took aim at his former colleague through a series of online remarks.

In the November 11 episode of ‘Cristy Ferminute’, Fermin criticized Anjo’s claim that he had declared a “ceasefire” with Sotto, pointing out that the actor was still taking jabs at the Senate President in his vlogs.
“Ang ceasefire po ay maling terminong ginamit ni Anjo dahil siya lang naman ang nang-aaway kay SP Tito Sotto. Kaya hindi dapat [gamitin] ‘yong terminong ceasefire,” Fermin said.
She added, “Gano’n ngang sinabi niyang ceasefire ‘yong kaniyang sinabing tigil-putukan. Eh bakit hanggang ngayon, si Titosen pa rin ang tinutumbok mo sa ‘yong mga vlogs?”
Fermin’s comments came after Yllana posted a video where he appeared to threaten further revelations about Sotto’s alleged personal affairs, claiming he had “proof” of the Senate President’s supposed relationships in the past.
In the now-viral vlog, Yllana said, “Ano, Titosen, gusto mo ba talaga? Meron ka pang Cristy Fermin eh, gusto mo ba talaga? Gusto mo ba talagang sabihin ko kung sinong kabit mo at kung sino ‘yong girlfriend mo sa Eat Bulaga na naging girlfriend pa ni Bossing, sabay pa kayo?”
Although Yllana later said he would no longer continue with his so-called “pasabog,” Fermin was unconvinced, pointing out that he continued to bring up Sotto’s name. “If you really want peace, stop mentioning him altogether,” she implied during the program.
Meanwhile, Senate President Tito Sotto chose not to engage with Yllana’s remarks, dismissing them as attention-seeking.
“Huwag n’yong pansinin at nagpapapansin ‘yan. Pati ba naman showbiz at paninira papatulan natin? Itaas natin ang level ng Senate press,” Sotto said in a statement to the media.
Many netizens praised Sotto’s composure, calling his response “classy and dignified.” Others agreed with Fermin that if Yllana truly intended to move on, he should refrain from making further statements against his former colleague.
As of this writing, Yllana has not responded to Cristy Fermin’s latest remarks, though followers of his social media channels noted that he remains active in releasing vlogs and live videos where he often discusses his past experiences with ‘Eat Bulaga’.
