Fatima Bosch of Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2025 during the coronation night held Friday, November 21, at the Impact Challenger Hall in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
She bested 119 candidates from around the world.

Bosch received the crown from outgoing queen Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, becoming Mexico’s fourth Miss Universe titleholder. Judges included former Miss Universe Andrea Meza, while Miss Universe Organization President Raul Rocha, who co-owns the organization, is also Mexican.
Top Placers:
- Miss Universe 2025: Fatima Bosch (Mexico)
- 1st Runner-Up: Praveenar Singh (Thailand)
- 2nd Runner-Up: Stephany Abasali (Venezuela)
- 3rd Runner-Up: Ahtisa Manalo (Philippines)

Filipina delegate Ahtisa Manalo placed as third runner-up, earning praise from supporters who had hoped she would secure the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown. The Quezon Province native previously competed at the 2018 Miss International pageant, where she finished first runner-up, and later joined Miss Cosmo in Vietnam in 2024, placing in the Top 10.
Manalo reclaimed national pageant attention after winning Miss Universe Philippines 2025, her long-awaited return following earlier attempts in 2018 and 2024. On the Miss Universe stage, she was consistently one of the crowd favorites, particularly during the evening gown, swimwear, and Q&A rounds.
During the final question, Manalo emphasized her advocacy to support youth from low-income backgrounds, stating that Miss Universe would serve as a platform to uplift underprivileged communities.
The 74th Miss Universe competition was marked by internal tensions between Mexican and Thai executives, as well as a walkout earlier this month involving Bosch and several delegates following a heated exchange with Thai organizer Nawat Itsaragrisil.
Two judges—Omar Harfouch and Claude Makelele—also withdrew days before coronation night. Harfouch cited “irregularities,” while Makelele mentioned “unforeseen personal reasons.”
Despite the turbulence, the pageant concluded successfully with Bosch securing the crown.
Several Filipino brands and personalities played key roles in this year’s edition:
- Bench designed the official swimsuits (“Power of Love” and “Sky of Thailand” collections).
- Jewelmer crafted the Miss Universe crown.
- Philippine Airlines served as one of the airline sponsors.
- Filipino performer Louie Heredia was part of the selection committee.
- Backstage hosts included Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, the first Filipino-American Miss Universe, and Dayanara Torres, who rose to Philippine stardom after winning Miss Universe 1993.
