Senator Robin Padilla admitted that he doesn’t miss working in show business, joking that there are already plenty of “great actors” in the Senate.

“Mas maraming magaling na artista sa Senado. Kaya hindi ko namiss,” Padilla quipped during his guest appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, where he was joined by his wife, Mariel Padilla.
The action star-turned-lawmaker explained that while he’s now focused on public service, he hasn’t completely left acting behind.
“Katunayan po, katatapos ko lang ‘yung Bad Boy 3. Eleven years in the making,” he revealed, adding that the long-awaited sequel is set for release this December.
Padilla, who last appeared in the 2022 film ‘Maid in Malacañang’, is one of several celebrity senators currently in office, alongside Jinggoy Estrada, Lito Lapid, and Tito Sotto III, among others.
Meanwhile, his wife Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla shared that she’s also not planning a full-time return to showbiz just yet, as her focus remains on motherhood.
“I have two girls who really need my attention right now,” she told Boy Abunda.
The couple, who recently celebrated 15 years together, first tied the knot in India in August 2010, followed by a second wedding ceremony in Baguio City a month later.
