The much-awaited reunion of the SexBomb Girls on Eat Bulaga last Saturday, November 8, had fans dancing with nostalgia — but one subtle lyric change in their hit song ‘Bakit Papa?’ didn’t go unnoticed.

The girl group returned to the ‘Eat Bulaga’ stage two decades since their debut, performing alongside the show’s original hosts Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other Dabarkads.
As they closed their medley with their 2002 classic, fans quickly caught that the once-familiar line — “Si Bossing, feel ko, may gusto siya sa akin / Si Anjo Yllana, mukhang may pagtingin” — had been changed.
Instead of “Anjo Yllana,” the SexBomb Girls now sang: “Si Jose Manalo, mukhang may pagtingin.”
The crowd erupted in laughter and cheers as the new lyric playfully referenced current ‘Eat Bulaga’ host Jose Manalo.
The tweak didn’t come as a surprise to many viewers, especially given Anjo Yllana’s recent tirades against the show and former co-host Senator Tito Sotto. In a viral TikTok live stream, Yllana accused ‘Eat Bulaga’ of having a “syndicate” and claimed that the show’s late director Bert de Leon had been “backstabbed” and “removed.” He also made personal allegations against Sotto, which stirred backlash online.
Yllana has since walked back his statements, clarifying that his remarks were meant as “bluffs.”
Still, ‘Eat Bulaga’ fans saw the SexBomb Girls’ lyric change as a cheeky but fitting response to the controversy — a lighthearted way of honoring the show’s current family while quietly distancing from past tensions.
The SexBomb Girls, who first rose to fame as ‘Eat Bulaga’s’ resident dancers in the early 2000s, are also gearing up for their reunion concert, ‘Get Get Aw! The SexBomb Concert,’ happening on December 4, 2025, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
