With the 38th Awit Awards Powered by Vibe setting new milestones, MQuest Ventures, the entertainment and content production arm of MediaQuest Holdings, pledges to further champion Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

Held at the Meralco Theater on November 16, 2025, the Awit Awards stood as a legit and vibrant celebration of OPM’s enduring legacy with Vibe—the Philippines’ fan-powered OPM countdown under MQuest Ventures.

The 38th Awit Awards Powered by Vibe brought together the finest OPM artists of today. Recognizing the gap between fans and artists, Vibe was created to bridge that connection and provide a space that promotes the beloved craft of both veteran (OG) and Uprising artists. At its core, Vibe remains a powerful avenue in championing OPM and its impact that transcends generations.

Through Vibe, MQuest Ventures aims to celebrate the heart of OPM and create a movement that empowers OPM fans to play an active role in shaping the industry. MediaQuest Holdings President and CEO Jane Jimenez-Basas shared that partnering with the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) is one of MQuest Ventures’ initiatives to spark this movement and pay tribute to the artists whose contributions drive the industry forward.

“Vibe provides platforms for OPM artists, and what better way to actually recognize these performers than a partnership with Awit Awards.” She added, “We hope this partnership lasts for a long, long time as we continue to provide a platform for OPM and Filipino artistry.”

In his speech, MediaQuest Holdings Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan proudly said that the partnership between Vibe and Awit Awards created a new catalyst for OPM to thrive.

“The goal of Vibe is simple—to give our artists and their fans a venue where they can listen and discover the new Filipino sounds, where young talents can show their voice and moves and shape the new OPM,” Pangilinan shared. “My assurance to all of you is that Vibe and TV5 MediaQuest will keep working with Awit Awards to connect your industry to people across boundaries of economic classes, gender, geography, language, and age.”

Taking front and center of this legit celebration are Vibe jocks Dylan Menor, Elijah Canlas, Joao Constancia, Ana Ramsey, Maxie Andreison, Ryle Santiago, Paulo Angeles, Kych Minemoto, and Queenay, together with Gen Vs Carmela Lorzano, Selina Griffin, Adam Buck, Baileys Acot, Gab Pascual, Niko Badayos, Mark Ian.

A TRIBUTE TO FILIPINO TALENT AND LEGACY

The night’s presenters included celebrated names that have legitimately carved their legacy in OPM such as Nina, Randy Santiago, Christian Bautista, Morissette, Ice Seguerra, Vehnee Saturno, Wency Cornejo, and other respected industry figures. The ceremony also featured groundbreaking performances from Regine Velasquez, BINI, Ben&Ben, Dulce, Lolita Carbon, Lola Amour, Dionela, and more of the country’s top acts.

The Nation’s Girl Group BINI received the Vibe Stan Award on behalf of their fans, BLOOMS. The Vibe Stan Award recognizes the most passionate and dedicated fandom for their unwavering support of their favorite artist. BINI Stacey thanked all their fans for their constant and never-failing support, sharing that this award is truly for them. BINI also bagged other big awards, including Favorite Album of the Year for Talaarawan and Favorite Group Artist.

Ben&Ben, Album of the Year awardee for their acclaimed release The Traveller Across Dimensions, expressed heartfelt gratitude to their fans, fellow musicians, record labels, and PARI. They shared that the evolution of their sound can be heard through the honesty reflected in their music, and the most meaningful part of their win is that it was built on friendship.

One of Ben&Ben’s lead vocalists, Miguel Benjamin, said that in their eight years together as a band, they have experienced a myriad of challenges, but it is their friendship that they never gave up on. “Anyone who is in a team or in a group trying to achieve something, never forget the friendship that made you come together in the first place and hold onto that when times are tough,” he added.

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid presented the Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors an individual’s significant contributions to OPM. Viva Communications, Inc. Chairman and CEO Vicente “Boss Vic” del Rosario Jr. won the award for his outstanding legacy in OPM and creating an empire that promotes Filipino creativity.Boss Vic del Rosario

Del Rosario shared that during the humble beginnings of Vicor Music Corporation, the music label he co-founded in 1966, their only goal was to make OPM better than foreign songs. Vicor Music later on became the starting ground of OPM legends like Freddie Aguilar, Rey Valera, and Sharon Cuneta. Del Rosario proudly shared that OPM has reached a defining peak in its growth and influence today, and he will continue supporting voices that define the industry.

AN EXPERIENCE THAT GOES BEYOND THE AWARDS NIGHT

The 38th Awit Awards Powered by Vibe has also introduced the Violet Carpet, a reimagined experience that had given fans up-close access to their favorite Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists. Moving beyond the traditional red carpet, the Violet Carpet transformed the moment into an interactive space where artists and audiences met, shared stories, and celebrated the collective movement that continues to power Filipino music.

Staying true to Vibe’s core of redefining OPM, fans are given the chance to express their voice through the People’s Voice Awards, where they voted for some of the most anticipated categories: Favorite Song of the Year, Favorite Group Artist, and Favorite New Group Artist. This initiative ensures audiences play an active role in recognizing deserving Filipino artists.

In this way, Vibe continues its celebration of Filipino artistry and pride while honoring rightful achievements, amplifying authentic voices, and giving power back to the fans who keep the rhythm of OPM alive.

Prior to the event itself, Vibe launched a Campus Tour to reach out to young music lovers across major universities in Metro Manila, including Lyceum University of the Philippines, Emilio Aguinaldo College, and National University Fairview. This allowed artists to connect with young fans and share their music, while giving students a chance to showcase their own OPM talent and passion.

The 38th Awit Awards powered by Vibe is more than a one-night celebration—it is a movement that continues to bridge heritage and innovation, where credibility meets dynamism, and Filipino music takes center stage for fans, artists, and generations to come.
