Actor, producer, and director Coco Martin has been drawing praise from fans after openly showing his loyalty to ABS-CBN, particularly amid the continued promotion of ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ on its new free-to-air platform, Kapamilya Channel on AllTV2.

In recent days, Martin has been actively encouraging viewers to continue supporting the long-running action series following its move to AllTV2. His partner, Julia Montes, has also joined in the promotion by sharing Martin’s video reel thanking fans for their continued patronage of the show.
The consistent push from the lead star and creative force behind ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ did not go unnoticed, with many netizens commending Martin for his visible loyalty to ABS-CBN. This comes shortly after Martin renewed his contract with the network, reinforcing his long-standing relationship with the Kapamilya brand.
While fans continue to celebrate the show’s strong following, speculation has also surfaced online regarding the possible ending of ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’. However, according to sources close to the production, there has been no official announcement yet on when the series is set to conclude.
Beyond promotions, Martin has also been reflecting on his journey in the industry. In a recent interview on ANC’s ‘Beyond the Exchange’ with Rico Hizon, he spoke about perseverance, gratitude, and using his platform to help others—especially veteran actors who may have been overlooked by the industry.
“Kahit sa pamamagitan ng kwento lang, sa salita lang, malay mo may mabago akong buhay,” Martin said, emphasizing his belief that success is best shared.
Known for personally handpicking cast members, Martin said he relates deeply to actors who struggle to find opportunities. “Nakikita ko po ’yung sarili ko sa kanila. Alam naman natin dito sa Pilipinas, kulang sa opportunity,” he said, adding that he is already preparing himself mentally for the day his own popularity fades.
Despite his compassion, Martin is also known for running a disciplined set. He openly admitted to being strict, banning cellphones, smoking, vaping, and gossip during work hours. “Masungit ako. Bakit? Kasi seryoso ako sa trabaho ko,” he explained, noting that professionalism is non-negotiable on his productions.
With over 700 episodes of ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ already aired, Martin continues to marvel at his creative process, crediting his early years in independent filmmaking for sharpening his instincts behind the camera.
