Former beauty queens Cindy Miranda, Franki Russell, and Priscilla Meirelles offered empowering advice to women looking to enter the pageantry world during a press conference for the microdrama ‘The Fake Socialite’, now streaming on Viva Movie Box.

The three actresses, who each have notable pageant backgrounds, encouraged aspiring candidates to take chances and embrace the journey, regardless of the outcome.
Franki, who was crowned Miss Cosmo New Zealand 2024, urged women to pursue pageantry even if they are still uncertain.
“Even if you’re half considering it, do it. Now is the time. You know, even if you try once, it doesn’t mean you can’t try again and try again,” she said, citing Pia Wurtzbach and Ahtisa Manalo as examples of candidates who joined multiple times before winning their titles.
“I think just go for it. Don’t worry about what other people would think. You could always find support and talk to other people,” she added.
Priscilla, Miss Globe International 2003 and Miss Earth 2004, emphasized passion and personal fulfillment as key motivations.
“If that’s the way you feel, why not try?” she said. “We just have one life, so just go for it. Surround yourself with people who can support your dream, who believe in you, and who will help you elevate yourself. And give your best—give your all. Whatever the outcome, it doesn’t matter.”
“At the end of the day… nanalo ka kapag binigay mo ng todo-todo,” she added.
She also gave a more cautionary perspective, reminding aspiring queens to be mindful of their environment.
“Just make sure that when you go to those environments, you are surrounded by people who have your best interests at heart… you need to be very careful, especially if you’re a single lady… If your parents can accompany you… that’s a plus,” she said.
Meanwhile, Cindy, who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2013, highlighted the importance of courage and confidence.
“’Yong lakas pa lang ng loob mo, na naisip mong sumali… alam mo ’yon, eh, na kaya mo kasi. Kahit sabihin pa ng ibang kaibigan mong ’di ka pa ready, you go for it,” she said.
“Sa mundo natin ngayon, ang hirap makakuha ng lakas ng loob, lalo na sa mga babae… Matalo ka man o manalo… I’m sure you’re a better person. Sobrang layo mo na doon sa kung saan ka nagsimula,” she added.
Directed by Gino M. Santos, ‘The Fake Socialite’ is currently available for streaming on Viva Movie Box, offering viewers access to its content through a subscription model.
