GRAMMY®-nominated singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has officially announced her highly anticipated third studio album, Daughter from Hell, arriving July 17 via Interscope Records. Written and produced alongside longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner, the album marks a brand-new chapter for one of today’s most influential young artists.
Ahead of the release, Abrams will unveil the album’s lead single, “Hit the Wall,” this Friday morning in the Philippines after teasing the track heavily across social media in recent weeks.
Known for her emotionally honest songwriting and deeply personal lyricism, Abrams has built a massive global following–including a rapidly growing fanbase in the Philippines. Her songs have become favorites among Filipino Gen Z listeners, regularly appearing across TikTok Philippines, Spotify playlists, and relatable “hugot” and POV-style content online. Tracks like “That’s So True” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry” especially resonated with local fans for their raw and heartfelt storytelling.
The excitement surrounding Abrams in the Philippines has continued to grow over the past year, with Filipino fans frequently campaigning online for the singer-songwriter to bring her tour to Manila. Following recent tour announcements tied to her new era, social media was once again flooded with requests for a Philippine stop. Actress and television host Anne Curtis even joined the online conversation, further highlighting Abrams’ rising popularity among Filipino audiences.
Daughter from Hell follows the success of Abrams’ sophomore album The Secret of Us (2024), which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and earned #1 spot in multiple countries including the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands. The album featured breakout tracks such as “Close to You,” “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” and “That’s So True,” with the latter becoming Abrams’ first Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit and a viral streaming favorite worldwide.
Speaking with Vogue during the 2026 MET Gala, Abrams described “Hit the Wall” as the perfect introduction to this new chapter of her career. “It’s the introduction to this new chapter, and I feel grateful and relieved that this is the introduction,” she shared. “I love the song so much and I love the people I made it with. It feels embodied and that feels good. I’m excited for it to belong to everyone else.”
Since debuting in 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the defining singer-songwriters of her generation, earning acclaim for her intimate songwriting, sold-out global tours, and collaborations with artists including Taylor Swift. Beyond music, Abrams is also set to make her acting debut in the upcoming A24 film Please, directed by Halina Reijn. Her third studio album, Daughter from Hell, arrives July 17.
