Kapamilya actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi earned praise from netizens after helping a senior citizen jeepney driver who recently went viral following a road accident while working.
In her vlog, Ivana personally searched for the elderly driver, identified as Tatay Robin, to extend financial assistance and help him start a small business.
According to Tatay Robin, he is already 77 years old and continues to drive a jeepney daily to support his family, especially his partner who reportedly suffers from epilepsy.
During their conversation, the elderly driver became emotional as he shared his struggles and hopes of receiving help for his family’s needs.
Touched by his story, Ivana immediately handed him ₱50,000 as capital for the sari-sari store business he hopes to build.
Tatay Robin could not hide his emotions and gratitude, saying he never expected someone like Ivana to help him personally.
The vlog quickly went viral online, with many netizens praising Ivana for responding quickly to the elderly driver’s situation. Several commenters even compared her actions to government officials.

Netizens were further saddened after learning that despite decades of working as a jeepney driver, Tatay Robin allegedly still has to continue working at his age because he could no longer depend on support from his children.
