ACMobility, Ayala’s ACEN RES partner to bring 100% renewable energy, EV charging bundle to retail customers

Ayala companies ACMobility and ACEN RES have partnered to offer businesses an integrated energy and mobility solution that combines 100% renewable energy supply with electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

ACEN RES awards ACMobility the “Powered by Renewable Energy” badge, which will be displayed at ACMobility charging stations powered by ACEN RES. In photo (L-R): Atty. Sheila Mina, ACEN Vice President, Commercial Operations and Head, Account Management; Tony Valdez, ACEN Senior Vice President and Head, Market Transformation and Retail; Miguel De Jesus, ACEN Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer-Philippines; Eric Francia, ACEN President and Chief Executive Officer; Carla Buencamino, ACMobility Head of Mobility Infrastructure; Maria Bejoc, ACMobility Head of Network Operations and Business Development; Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, ACMobility CEO; and Josh Altarejos, ACMobility Site Development Head.

Through the partnership, ACEN RES customers, including commercial and industrial establishments, can now install EV charging stations within their facilities while sourcing electricity from ACEN’s portfolio of renewable energy assets, enabling them to reduce emissions across both their operations and transport activities.

Under the agreement, ACEN RES customers may deploy charging stations for employee use, support their corporate EV fleets, or operate publicly accessible charging facilities as Charge Point Operators (CPOs).

Customers that choose to open their charging stations to the public will be integrated into ACMobility’s EV charging ecosystem through the Evro app, allowing EV drivers to locate, access, and pay for charging sessions seamlessly. The platform also provides automated billing and payment reconciliation, simplifying charging operations for site hosts.

The partnership enables businesses to advance their sustainability goals by pairing electric mobility with renewable energy. By ensuring that EV charging is powered by clean electricity, companies can further reduce emissions while supporting the expansion of the country’s EV charging network.

“The convergence of clean energy and electric mobility is essential to the Philippines’ energy transition. Through this partnership, we are making it easier for businesses to adopt renewable energy and EV charging solutions, helping accelerate decarbonization across both operations and transport,” said Eric Francia, President and CEO of ACEN.

“Electric mobility delivers even greater value when powered by clean energy. Together with ACEN RES, we are enabling businesses to cut emissions by integrating renewable supply with EV charging,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility.

The partnership comes as businesses and consumers increasingly explore electric mobility solutions amid rising fuel costs and a growing focus on sustainability. As organizations seek ways to manage energy expenses and reduce their carbon footprint, access to reliable, renewable energy-powered charging infrastructure will be critical in supporting broader EV adoption across the country.

This initiative builds on the successful collaboration between ACEN RES and ACMobility, which powers some of the Philippines’ first ultrafast EV charging stations in Makati City with 100% renewable energy. By combining clean power and charging infrastructure, the two companies continue to advance solutions that support both the energy transition and the electrification of transport.

ACEN RES continues to lead the country’s transition to renewable energy, with six out of 10 businesses under the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) choosing ACEN RES as their renewable energy supplier, based on data from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC).

ACMobility, the country’s leading provider of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), is at the forefront of developing the Philippine EV Spine, with EV charging stations in over 200 locations nationwide.
