Asialink celebrates 29 years of empowering Filipino entrepreneurs with launch of Medium Enterprise Loan

For 29 years, Asialink Finance Corporation (AFC) has helped fuel the growth of Filipino entrepreneurs by providing accessible financing solutions to businesses nationwide. Since its establishment in 1997, AFC has grown from a single office into a nationwide financial institution serving more than 47,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and clients through over 255 branches as of March 2026, underscoring its longstanding commitment to supporting the country’s business sector.

AFC’s sustained growth reflects its steady expansion and deepening impact on Filipino entrepreneurs over nearly three decades. The company recorded a 35% growth in its loan portfolio from 2024 to April 2026 and has released a cumulative ₱37 billion in loans to support individuals and enterprises nationwide, reinforcing its role in expanding access to credit.

This nearly three-decade journey has strengthened AFC’s understanding of the evolving needs of Filipino entrepreneurs, particularly businesses that are ready to scale but continue to face barriers in accessing timely and flexible financing. Building on this experience, AFC is launching its Medium Enterprise Loan as part of its 29th anniversary celebration.

“As we celebrate our 29th anniversary, we remain deeply grateful to our clients, employees, partners, and stakeholders who have been part of our journey. Our growth over the years reflects the trust that Filipino entrepreneurs have placed in us and reinforces our commitment to helping them achieve their business aspirations,” said Anna Katrina C. Bañez, President and CEO of AFC.

The new program responds to a persistent financing gap among medium-sized enterprises. While these businesses play a vital role in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and strengthening local industries, many remain underserved due to stringent requirements and lengthy credit evaluation processes. Through the Medium Enterprise Loan Program, AFC aims to provide growing businesses with the capital they need to support expansion, working capital requirements, and other strategic growth initiatives.

Officially launched on June 1, 2026, the program offers eligible enterprises loan amounts of up to ₱100 million, and flexible repayment terms of up to seven years, tailored to business expansion and operational needs. The loan program is accessible through AFC’s nationwide network of branches and partner channels, enabling entrepreneurs to secure timely funding for scaling operations and working capital requirements.

In line with its commitment to financial inclusion, AFC also launched the Women’s Access to Inclusive Support (WAIS) Loan in July 2025, a women-focused loan product designed to address gender financing gaps in the country. With over 6,000 women MSMEs served and total disbursements reaching ₱3 billion as of April 2026, the program underscores AFC’s continued drive to expand access to financing and empower women entrepreneurs to grow and sustain their businesses.

Beyond product expansion, AFC remains committed to creating meaningful impact in the communities it serves. Through initiatives that support financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, the company continues to contribute to economic development and job creation across the country.

“Our journey has always been about empowering people and businesses to move forward. As we look towards our 30th year and beyond, we will continue building on this foundation of service and trust, ensuring that more Filipino entrepreneurs have access to the financial support they need to succeed,” concluded Bañez.
