The iconic Bad Boy franchise may soon be passed on to a new generation.
Actor-politician Robin Padilla revealed that he plans to hand over the “Bad Boy” mantle to a younger star in a potential ‘Bad Boy 4’, with his nephew, Daniel Padilla, being eyed to headline the project.

The revelation came during the question-and-answer portion of the advance screening of ‘Bad Boy 3’ held on June 4.
When asked whether he still wanted to be associated with the “Bad Boy” image that defined much of his movie career, Robin said: “Ipapamana ko na po ito sa Bad Boy 4, sa mas batang artista. Iintroduce na po natin.”
Members of the press then asked if he was referring to Daniel Padilla, prompting Daniel’s father, Rommel Padilla, to confirm that plans for the next installment are already underway.
“In the works. Syempre dahil nanggaling doon sa pinanggalingan din ay kailangan doon sa kagalingan din ibibigay,” Rommel said.
Rommel also expressed his desire to see Daniel paired onscreen with rumored girlfriend Kaila Estrada in the project.
“Aba syempre naman! Para naman makita na magkasama silang dalawa sa Bad Boy 4,” he said.

The original ‘Bad Boy’ was released in 1990 and helped cement Robin Padilla’s “Bad Boy” image in Philippine cinema. It was followed by ‘Bad Boy II’ in 1992, while ‘Bad Boy 3’ marks the franchise’s return more than three decades later.
Meanwhile, Daniel and Kaila have been romantically linked since last year after being spotted together on several occasions. While neither has publicly confirmed the status of their relationship, the two have fueled speculation after sharing photos of each other on social media.
The pair also worked together in the action-drama series ‘Incognito’, where viewers praised their onscreen chemistry.
As of writing, no official announcement has been made regarding the production of ‘Bad Boy 4’. However, the prospect of seeing Daniel Padilla take over the franchise—with Kaila Estrada potentially joining him as leading lady—has already generated excitement among fans.
