Fresh from the box-office success of ‘Tayo Sa Wakas,’ actor Donny Pangilinan delighted moviegoers and industry insiders when he made a surprise appearance at the premiere night of Regal Entertainment’s latest romantic comedy, ‘Project Baby,’ held at Eastwood Cinemas on Tuesday evening.

Many attendees were pleasantly surprised to see Pangilinan at the event, considering he had recently completed an extensive promotional tour across the country for ‘Tayo Sa Wakas,’ his blockbuster film with Belle Mariano.
Despite the film’s commercial success, observers noted that Pangilinan remained grounded and approachable throughout the evening.

Several attendees commented on the actor’s humility, saying that success has not changed his attitude and that he continues to support his friends and colleagues in the industry.
Also spotted at the premiere were Dominic Roque, who came to support girlfriend Sue Ramirez, and actress-content creator Kristel Fulgar, who is now based in South Korea with her husband.
Fulgar shared that she has embraced life in Korea while continuing to return to the Philippines for projects and business commitments.
Meanwhile, ‘Project Baby’ received a warm response from the audience, earning loud applause for director Eric Quizon and lead stars Sue Ramirez and Rico Blanco.
Following the screening, Quizon asked viewers: “Hindi ba kayo nainip? Hindi kayo tumayo sa upuan niyo?”
The audience responded positively, praising the film’s entertaining story and comedic moments.
Ramirez drew particular acclaim for her portrayal of an independent woman determined to become a mother on her own terms. Viewers also praised her chemistry with Blanco, whose character agrees to help her fulfill her dream of having a child.
One of the film’s most talked-about aspects is the unusual and humorous dynamic between the two characters as they navigate the scientific and emotional challenges of trying to conceive.
Reflecting on their experience filming the movie’s intimate and comedic scenes, Blanco admitted that both he and Ramirez initially felt nervous.
“Nung una kinabahan talaga kami ni Sue pareho. Pero, nag-enjoy na lang kami, kasi ni-look forward din namin ang scene na ’yon. At saka, ginuide rin talaga kami ni Direk.
“May iba akong idea, may ibang idea si Sue, ganun din si Direk Eric. Pero ginawa nga ni Direk na sobrang fun lang. Nakita niyo naman po, sobrang nakakatuwa.”
The positive audience reception appears to have inspired Blanco to pursue more acting opportunities in the future.
“Dahil po sa reaksiyon ng mga nakapanood na, na masaya sila, nakaka-inspire po talaga,” he said.
Dominic Roque, meanwhile, stayed quietly supportive throughout the evening, choosing to keep the spotlight on Ramirez and Blanco. Those who approached him noted his humility and reluctance to draw attention away from the film’s stars.
‘Project Baby’ also carries a timely message about modern relationships, independence, and evolving views on family and parenthood. According to Quizon, the film reflects how society—particularly women’s perspectives—has changed over the years.
Regal Entertainment executive Roselle Monteverde echoed this sentiment, noting that the film’s themes resonate strongly with today’s audiences.
‘Project Baby’ opens in cinemas alongside several new releases, offering audiences another heartfelt Filipino story centered on love, family, and personal choice.
