Filipino travelers dreaming of their next international adventure can look forward to a taste of Taiwan at the Travel Madness Expo (TME) 2026. From July 10 to 12, the Taiwan Tourism Administration will return to the SMX Convention Center Manila with its “Waves of Wonder” campaign, offering visitors a chance to discover Taiwan through interactive experiences, travel insights, and exclusive giveaways.

According to the Taiwan Tourism Administration, Taiwan welcomed more than 620,000 Filipino visitors in 2025, setting a new all-time record and registering an impressive 34.3% increase from 2024. Building on this exceptional momentum, Taiwan has continued to strengthen its appeal among Filipino travelers in 2026, ranking as the third most popular outbound destination for the Philippine market. The sustained growth reflects the increasing affinity of Filipinos for Taiwan’s diverse tourism offerings, seamless accessibility, and warm hospitality.
Throughout the three-day expo, visitors can take part in various interactive activities designed to bring Taiwan closer to more Filipinos. Among the highlights are the crowd-favorite “Taiwan Kahoot! Challenge,” a travel-themed trivia game that tests participants’ knowledge of Taiwan, and the “Check It Out Taiwan Travel Challenge,” an engaging video game experience that showcases the destination’s attractions in a fun and immersive way.
Those looking for a hands-on cultural experience are invited to join the traditional lantern D.I.Y workshop, which will be held daily for a limited number of participants, offering a glimpse into one of Taiwan’s cherished cultural traditions.
Travel planning will also be made easier at the Taiwan Pavilion, where visitors can explore the latest flight options from Taiwan’s three major international carriers – China Airlines, EVA Air, and STARLUX Airlines. Representatives will be available at the event to share information on routes, schedules, and travel updates. Special expo-only airfare deals will be offered throughout the event, providing travelers with added savings on their next trip to Taiwan.
Adding to the excitement, the Taiwan Tourism Administration also invited popular and lifestyle content creator Xzar Lim at the expo. Set to take the main stage on July 11, from 2:30 to 3:00 PM, Lim will share her favorite Taiwan destinations, must-visit attractions, and memorable cycling adventures across the island. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early for the session and gain firsthand travel tips and local insights that can help make their next Taiwan getaway even more rewarding.
No visit to the Taiwan Pavilion would be complete without exciting freebies and prizes, a long-standing tradition of the Taiwan Administration at travel fairs and consumer events such as the TME. Visitors who book any Taiwan travel product, including a tour package or flight ticket, from participating travel agencies or airlines at TME can redeem a complimentary Taiwan-themed travel accessory.
