Thousands of runners took over the streets of Manila as HOKA Midnight Run returned with its biggest edition yet, bringing together communities from across the country for a night that celebrated far more than finishing times.
The Manila leg marked the largest expression yet of HOKA’s growing movement culture platform in the Philippines, reflecting how running has evolved beyond a sport into an everyday lifestyle centered on community, consistency, and connection.

As the flagship leg of HOKA Midnight Run, Manila showcased the energy of a movement that has steadily grown beyond race weekends.
Participants included seasoned marathoners, first-time runners, run clubs, fitness communities, and everyday movers who came together through months of preparation leading up to race night. Across Metro Manila, these communities have become part of a larger cultural shift, where run clubs serve as new social circles, coffee runs replace traditional weekend meetups, and movement has become a meaningful way to connect, recharge, and build lasting friendships.

In the lead-up to HOKA Midnight Run Manila, HOKA hosted a series of community training sessions every Saturday—held on June 20, June 27, July 4, and July 11—to help participants prepare for race night while strengthening the connections that define the growing Midnight Run community. The sessions welcomed runners of all experience levels, offering guided workouts, coaching, and opportunities to train alongside fellow participants in a supportive environment.
More than preparing runners physically, these weekly sessions embodied HOKA’s belief that progress is built through consistency and community. They gave participants the confidence to push their limits, establish new routines, and form relationships that extended beyond training and into race day itself.
