Maxicare, GSIS expand healthcare access for public servants through G-HEALTH

High healthcare expenses continue to pose a significant financial strain on Filipinos, often forcing government workers to delay critical medical care that could impact their productivity. To safeguard the welfare of our public servants, leading health maintenance organization (HMO) Maxicare Group and the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) have partnered to deliver convenient, affordable healthcare to active government employees and their dependents nationwide.

(L-R) Maxicare Group Chief Operating Officer Fiona Victoria, Maxicare Group President and Chief Executive Officer Christian Argos, GSIS President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso, GSIS Senior Vice President for Corporate Services Valerie Marquez sign and seal the strategic partnership to elevate healthcare access for Philippine public sector workers.

Under a newly signed Memorandum of Agreement, Maxicare becomes the first accredited HMO provider supporting the GSIS Ginhawa Health Assistance Loan (G-HEALTH) Program. Anchored on Executive Order Nos. 64 (2024) and 95 (2025), which grant qualified public servants a dedicated medical allowance, the initiative allows government employees to maximize their medical subsidy through Maxicare’s dedicated HMO products and clinic services.

“We’re very, very proud to be part of this,” said Christian Argos, Maxicare Group President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our goal with this partnership is to give every single government employee a choice to get better healthcare benefits.”

Public-private collaboration for a healthy nation

In this strategic partnership, Maxicare delivers benefits and claims processing, dedicated member servicing, and reliable care across its clinics and provider hospitals nationwide. Meanwhile, GSIS manages the G-HEALTH loan financing to make premium payments easier and ensure immediate coverage without upfront financial strain.

GSIS members will soon gain access to Maxicare’s comprehensive G-HEALTH plans through the G-HEALTH platform on the GSIS Touch mobile application. This creates a seamless, digital, and accessible enrollment experience for members, allowing them to unlock Maxicare’s comprehensive healthcare ecosystem at their fingertips. This includes premium HMO coverage and convenient use of primary care facilities across the country.

This initiative reinforces Maxicare’s decades of legacy to advocate for every Filipino’s health, including government employees who are working tirelessly to serve the nation. As the backbone of our community, Maxicare offers eligible principals and dependents up to ₱150,000 Annual Benefit Limit contingent on the availed plan.

“Our goal is to create a healthcare plan that allows you to decide, no matter what your priorities are, through the GSIS Touch App. With our partnership with GSIS, we solve a lot of problems in one goal,” concluded Argos.

Eligible government workers will soon be able to easily explore, select, and enroll in a Maxicare G-HEALTH plan directly through the GSIS Touch mobile application. To learn more about Maxicare’s health plans, services, and clinic locations nationwide, visit www.maxicare.com.ph.
