The MILO Inter-School Short Course Swimming Championships continues to build momentum as its second season moves across the country, giving more young swimmers the opportunity to represent their schools, test their skills, and create their own #MyMILOStory.
The 2026 season officially opened with the South Luzon Leg on August 1–2 at Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna, gathering 612 swimmers from 211 schools for two days of competitive racing, record-breaking performances, teamwork, and school pride.
De La Salle Lipa emerged as the South Luzon Overall Champion, backed by strong
performances across multiple divisions.
In the girls’ division, Colegio San Agustin, De La Salle Lipa, and Calayan Educational
Foundation led the 12 & Under division; De La Salle Lipa, University of Batangas, and Holy Rosary College of Sta. Rosa topped 13–17; while De La Salle Lipa, University of the Philippines Los Baños, and Lipa City Colleges completed the Top 3 in 18 & Over.
For the boys, Elizabeth Seton South, Sto. Niño Formation and Science, and De La Salle Lipa led 12 & Under; De La Salle Lipa, Frontline Christian Academy, and Holy Rosary College of Sta. Rosa topped 13–17; while De La Salle Lipa, University of Batangas, and Lipa City Colleges finished in the Top 3 for 18 & Over.
The championship continued the following week in Western Visayas, where the University of St. La Salle emerged as Overall Champion in both the Girls’ and Boys’ divisions.
For the girls, St. Scholastica’s Academy Bacolod, University of St. La Salle, and St. John’s Institute led 12 & Under; St. Scholastica’s Academy Bacolod, University of St. La Salle, and Negros Occidental High School topped 13–17; while University of St. La Salle, Carlos Hilado Memorial State University, and Trinity Christian School led 18 & Over.
In the boys’ division, University of St. La Salle, Education and Training Center School, and Silay South Elementary School topped 12 & Under; University of St. La Salle, St. John’s Institute, and St. Scholastica’s Academy Bacolod led 13–17; while Colegio Del Sagrado Corazon De Jesus, Carlos Hilado Memorial State University, and Southland College completed the Top 3 in 18 & Over.
With South Luzon and Western Visayas completed, the championship now moves on to NCR, Central Visayas, North Luzon, and Mindanao, bringing the competition closer to more swimmers, schools, coaches, and families nationwide.
Each regional leg gives student-athletes the opportunity to compete for individual medals, relay honors, team awards, Most Outstanding Swimmer recognitions, and the Overall Championship title.
Beyond the results, the MILO Inter-School championship celebrates the personal journey behind every race. From early-morning training and challenging competitions to breakthrough performances and memorable victories, every swimmer carries a story of courage, perseverance, and growth.
As Season 2 continues, more schools will take their place on the starting blocks, more young athletes will rise to the challenge, and more #MyMILOStory moments will be created in and out of the pool.
