GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) braved heavy rains and flooding brought by the southwest monsoon, or Habagat, to provide assistance to families affected by the severe weather.
Despite difficult conditions, the foundation continued its relief operations to reach communities in need in Cavite and Rizal.
Among the beneficiaries were 400 families staying at Gahak-Marulas Elementary School in Kawit, Cavite.
GMAKF also extended assistance to 958 families in San Mateo, Rizal, as persistent rains and flooding continued to affect communities.
The relief efforts form part of the foundation’s continuing mission to provide immediate assistance to Filipinos affected by calamities and other emergencies.
