Run for your life: Experience “The End of Oak Street” in 4DX and A-Giant at Ayala Malls Cinemas!

This blockbuster season, Ayala Malls Cinemas elevates the movie-watching experience with their specialty cinemas, such as 4DX and A-Giant, offering more fun ways to enjoy movies. After braving strong currents in “The Odyssey” and swinging from skyscrapers in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” movie audiences can now flee from and chase dinosaurs in “The End of Oak Street,” a family action adventure film best enjoyed on a giant screen like A-Giant, or in a multi-sensory cinema like 4DX, where movie audiences get to be as close as they can get to all the roaring action.

In “The End of Oak Street,” starring Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella (“My Old Ass”) and Christian Convery (who won a Children’s and Family Emmy for his lead role in “Sweet Tooth”), the Platt family seems like a regular 1980s suburban family, playing potato sack races with the community, joking around the table while having dinner, even having disagreements with the neighbor – and with each other – every once in a while. But all that changes when one day, a mysterious cosmic event rips their neighborhood from suburbia and transports Oak Street to someplace unknown, a place where dinosaurs roam the streets.

Co-producer J.J. Abrams (Star Wars and Star Trek franchises) is excited for audiences to see “the movie on the big screen. “‘The End of Oak Street” is a total thrill ride,” he says. “I’ve seen it with audiences. They scream and laugh and cry and cheer. It’s the sort of film that reminds you why you go to the movies.”

In 4DX, the dinosaur chases are more exciting because every time someone starts to run, the seat will first thrust forward and then continue heaving, swaying or tilting, according to the action happening onscreen. When a character gets hit by one of the invading creatures, the audience will feel it too. When a dinosaur roars, there will be a rush of air. If anyone (dinosaur or human) sneezes or if water gets splashed, the audience will get a little wet too. And on A-Giant, featuring a screen that is four times bigger than the standard movie screen, the dinosaurs seem all the more larger than life.

Of course, what’s an Ayala Malls Cinemas experience without the premium features they’re known for, including top-notch Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos technologies that produce rich, multi-dimensional sound, making every pounding footstep, creaking door, ear-splitting scream and deafening roar feel more vivid and immersive; cutting-edge laser projections that deliver sharper images; and plush seating with generous legroom that provide comfort amidst all the tension and heart-pounding action on the big screen.

For moviegoers who prefer the convenience of booking tickets online, Ayala Malls Cinemas has you covered with www.ayalaallaccess.com, where you can easily secure tickets, select preferred seats, and even pre-order your favorite snacks before your movie date. The Movie Snackbar offers refreshing drinks and delicious movie snacks, such as burgers, hotdog sandwiches, nachos, chips, fries and, of course, popcorn. Popcorn flavors include Blazing Cheddar, Texan BBQ, Sour Cream & Chives and Farmhouse Cheddar. Greenbelt 3 Cinemas also offers gourmet flavors, namely Truffle Parmesan, Smoked Gouda and Salted Caramel.

Will they survive? Ewan McGregor, Christian Convery, Maisy Stella and Anne Hathaway are the Platts in “The End of Oak Street.”

Watch the Platt family try to survive dinosaurs with your own family and friends. As a gift for those watching with a group, for every two (2) 4DX tickets presented at the 4DX/Cinema 5 door on the film’s opening day, August 12, patrons will get a limited-edition “The End of Oak Street” key chain.

Dinosaurs will move into Oak Street when “The End of Oak Street” opens only in cinemas August 12. Don’t miss out and watch all the action and adventure in Ayala Malls Cinemas, including on 4DX and A-Giant!
