After the controversial episode of “Pilipinas Got Talent,” the girlfriend of the Korean contestant Kim Ji-Wan took to Facebook to share her sentiments about the debatable encounter with Robin Padilla.
Identified as Jessamyn Aubrey Sy, she expressed her gratitude for all the support from netizens.
On her post is where she shared a statement, she expressed her deep gratitude to the people, especially their family and friends who supported them.
“Jiwan is a very dedicated person when it comes to his passion. When he joined PGT, he was very focused on practicing. Being with him 24/7, I had to listen to him practice, fail, and try again. I would even complain to my mom about how hard it was for me. People thinks that it’s easy but it’s not. To stay with him on his lowest was challenging and I’m glad I did,” she wrote.
Many people on social media criticized Robin as rude, harsh and racist. However, according to Robin, he was merely reminding the Korean contestant on the show about learning how to speak Filipino since Kim Jiwan has been here for almost 10 years.
