GMA Network’s afternoon advocaseries Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka will soon face its ending. The said series star Yasmien Kurdi, Martin del Rosario, Jackie Rice and Mike Tan.
In a recent press visit, a reporter asked Yasmien which she would choose: her husband or her daughter, Ayesha.
Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka revolves the story around Yasmien’s character, Thea Balagtas. She got married to Mike’s Marco Angeles and raised their fraternal twins together. When she tested positive for HIV, Marco believed that she cheated on him. He then files for legal separation. He also took their kids with them. When Thea’s condition worsened, she lost her will to live.
However, she unexpectedly meets her daughter where she finds it in herself to fight more.
In the said press visit, she also expressed the reason why she would choose her husband.
“Hindi ko po kayang iwanan ang asawa ko… Si Ayesha po kasi, kapag nagdalaga na siya, nagka-boyfriend, nagpakasal, iiwanan na niya ako, ang asawa ko, siya ang makakasama ko.”
Yasmien continued that after another soap, she would want to have another child.
“Gusto ko pa pong umarte, kaya siguro after ng isa pang soap, pwede na naming sundan si Ayesha.”
