TV Host Vice Ganda and Professional Basketball Player Calvin Abueva are now very open about their closeness.
People speculated that the two are already lovers. However, Vice continue to reiterate that they are just plain friends.
In a recent interview, the award-winning host was asked to clarify the real score between him and the basketball player.
He said, “Yung friendship niya sa akin, pinapasaya ako nun at nung relationship ko with him and his family, na napakabait sa akin.
“Ayun masaya ako doon at panatag ang loob ko, hindi katulad dati na kapag may kasama ako, natatakot ako sa ibang tao sa labas.
“‘Yung lagi kami kubli ng kubli ngayon parang may kapayapaan ang puso ko wala ako iniisip.”
Calvin recently cooked and sent Vice ‘Adobo’ (a Filipino favorite viand) while the latter was on the set of It’s Showtime. The comedian-host shared the viand to his co-hosts, and even mentioned the gesture to the audience of the noontime show.
“Ang sarap nung adobo, i-nenjoy ng buong ‘Showtime’ pati yung staff tumikim.
“Siya ang nagluto noon pati kanin siya. In-IG (Instagram) niya yun niluto niya sa pugon, kasi nagluluto talaga siya.”
Vice clarified that these gestures are just a sign of good friendship and no romance is involved.
“Ay hindi kami exclusively dating, hindi kami ganun,” Vice Ganda ended.
