- Yan Sison releases first solo album ‘Underrated’

YAN SISON, a songwriter, producer, and electronic pop-rock and ballad artist from the humble City of Kidapawan in North Cotabato and now based here in Manila.
His works were nominated at the PMPC Star Awards for Music in 2016 for “Best Rock Artist & Best Rock Album” and won the title for Best Rock Album of 2016 for his former band, Avalon Beyond, wherein he was the frontman. The album was digitally released by Universal Records Philippines in 2017 and Physically Distributed by PULP Live World in 2016.
Yan is also an accredited member of FILSCAP (Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) since 2016 which is headed by Mr. Rico Blanco.
Yan was one of the judges at the 30th annual Awit Awards last 2017 and has done works for Binibining Cebu 2017 theme song, collaboration with Jay Durias of Southborder for the Album “Mga Awit para sa Tunay na Pagbabago” released under UR Philippines, Michael Alba, Noel Mendez, Rickson Ruiz, Otep Concepcion, Angee Rozul and many more. His works in the field of music was recognized by his alma mater STI College and was given the award “Distinguished Alumni Awardee of 2018.”
Apart from doing music, Yan had also tried acting. He appeared in ABS–CBN’s “Ang Probinsyano,” Home Sweetie Home,” “Super D,” “On the Wings of Love” and in the Star Cinema movie “Love Me Tomorrow.” He is currently attending advanced acting workshop in ABS-CBN STARMAGIC headed by his mentor Ms. Air Paz Pablico.
Yan will be releasing his first SOLO album titled “UNDERRATED,” under a new management company I. Entertainment Co., which has five (5) tracks, with its carrier single, “Kayang-kaya.” Other songs include “Fighter,” “Fire,” “The Best Thing” and “Paramdam.” It was released in September of 2018 on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, and all Digital Platforms by DNA Records.

Yan recently partnered with STI College with his song “Kayang-kaya” for its campaigns headed by Mr. Elbert de Guzman (Vice President for Communications of STI Education Services Group) and Ms. Bambi Asis Geronimo (Alumni Relations, Placement & Linkages Manager of STI).
