Netizens can’t help but react to K-POP Momoland idol Nancy on her ‘insensitive’ statement that the quarantine is ‘nonsense’.

On the Twitter account of Sultry LadyLuster, a video of Nancy saying that they haven’t filmed for her upcoming Soulmate series is due to the ‘nonsense’ pandemic that’s going on,

“Beauty really means nothing kung ang utak naman eh walang laman.

‘All these nonsense & quarantine whatever’ ~Nancy.

This, was by far the most disturbing MESSAGE a person can give during this crisis. @DreamscapePH @ABSCBNpr @ABSCBN”

It seems that the Momoland star commented insensitively about the pandemic that is going on, which got different reactions from netizens.

“Soulmate Project,” the 13-episode TV series starring Kapamilya star James Reid and K-pop idol Nancy of MOMOLAND, will be partly filmed in Korea and Philippines and it will be written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who previously collaborated with James in the movie Never Not Love You (2018).

Nancy even revealed that she started doing workshops for Soulmate,

“I started doing workshops, we did workshops. There are workshops planned with James in the future.”

Soulmate Project was expected to begin in filming last February but due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine it was postponed.

On the other hand, the Department of Health stressed the importance of quarantine and social distancing to be able to prevent the novel coronavirus from spreading.

“We cannot underscore more the importance of regular hand washing and observance of cough etiquette to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. I urge all our kababayans to continuously cooperate with the Department of Health to keep the risk of this new disease at bay. Together we can eliminate the threat of COVID-19.”
As of April 16, 2020, the country has 5m660 confirmed cases but with 435 recovered cases.
