At the press conference for the grand launch of actor-singer Khalil Ramos as a Kapuso, he revealed the reasons he moved to GMA Network.
Initially, he said that one of the reasons he moved is because of his girlfriend, actress Gabbi Garcia. He also noted that he finds Gabbi’s work ethic fascinating.
“Seeing her (Gabbi) in her different work mode ethic is also quite fascinating. We also learned a lot from each other. So, yes, of course, its one of the factors, I wouldn’t say no, I would be lying if I said no. Yes, it’s one of the factors in my decision,” said Khalil.
Khalil also revealed that he was approached by GMA Artist Center from January to February of this year.
“It started actually back in January-Feb, that’s when the talks began. I was approached by Artists Center just to touch base,” said Khalil.
Then, Khalil said that GMA really wanted to know him as an artist and that they reached out again in July to discuss his future with the network.
“Around June to July, that’s when the talks began again. I think late, late July. I meet with them for the first time through zoom. I talked to them lang muna. Very casual, kwentuhan lang it wasn’t anything forceful. They wanted to get to know me about my passion. They wanted to know what I would want for my career. My trajectory as an artist. They really made me feel that there’s really an avenue or a platform for the art that I do over at GMA,” said Khalil.
Khalil and Gabbi have been together for the past three years and will celebrate their 4th anniversary as a couple in February of 2021 at the same network. Khalil signed his contract with GMA Artist Center this October 13, 2020, officially making him a Kapuso.
