It seems that the rebuttal of G Tongi to Arnell Ignacio’s belittling the intelligence of celebrities who speak out did not sit well with Aiko Melendez based on her post on Facebook.
On Thursday, Melendez shared a post denouncing ‘low blow’ attacks that are off-topic.
The actress recognized that we are all entitled to our political opinions but, she cannot tolerate below-the-belt criticisms that reproach people personally or even judge them physically.

Even though she did not mention any names but minutes after her post, Ignacio sent her gratitude to Melendez on Facebook.
“Maria Kendra Melendez iba ka talaga maraming salamat,” Ignacio said.
Melendez and Ignacio are good friends and worked together on the movie, Damaso (2019) while Melendez and G Tongi worked together on Kahit Kailan (1996).
To recall, it started when Angelica Panganiban threw shade at the government after demanding a quick response amidst the Typhoon.
In return, Arnell, former Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator and diehard Duterte supporter, supposedly retaliated against Angelica saying it’s hard to defend ‘airheaded’ celebrities.
“Noon ang artista kadalasan ang tingin e mahina ang ulo… na stereoyped kung baga. Nakaka sama nga ng loob noon …pero ngayon ang hirap na ipagtanggol. Ang daming prueba eh.me yabang pa nga sa katangahan e,” he said on Facebook.
With this, G Tongi took a swipe against Arnell targetting him personally, pointing out his hair plugs.
