Actress Jessy Mendiola sparked engagement rumors with boyfriend Luis Manzano when she was seen wearing a huge diamond ring in the photo that she shared on her Instagram story.
On Friday, November 27, the actress thanked her sponsors by posting a short video clip on her IG story. Although she was acknowledging her sponsors, the netizens couldn’t help to notice the huge diamond ring that she was wearing.
People speculated that the said ring was an engagement ring while other netizens simply said that it might just be one of the pieces of jewelry that the actress owns.
Jessy is currently in a four-year relationship with Luis that’s why people said that it’s just normal for them to already be engaged.
Previously, the couple did a ‘heart-to-heart’ talk on Jessy’s YouTube vlog where they asked each other questions that they’ve never asked each other before.
In the video, Luis asked Jessy, “Meron ba akong sinabi sa ‘yo na hindi mo pinaniwalaan or nagduda ka nang konti?”
Jessy answered that she may have doubted Luis in the past when he told her that he would marry her.
“Na papakasalan mo ako. Siyempre kase maraming mga detractors,” Jessy said.
“It’s more of like, dadating talaga sa point na, ‘Will it happen kaya? Totoo kaya ‘yong sinasabi niya,’” she added.
She said that doubting is a norming thing because all people have their trust issues with others.
“Lahat naman tayo may trust issues din. Susuntok tayo kaunti ng doubts. It’s a normal thing,” she stated.
Jessy Mendiola was one of the 18 new talents launched by ABS-CBN under Star Magic Batch 15. Other artists under her batch include Megan Young, Alfonso Martinez, and Bela Padilla. She is known for her roles in the Maria Mercedes (2013-14) and Budoy (2011).
