Quest expresses sentiments on giant brands in PH showing support for international artists

Original Pinoy Music artist Quest expressed his sentiments on local brands in the Philippines showing support for international artists instead of local artists.

On his Twitter account, Quest wrote that if local brands or companies invest in OPM artists first before anyone else, it can uplift the local music industry.

Imagine LOCAL Brands/Companies investing millions on OPM.

Just imagine uplifting OPM first before anything/anyone else.

That would be dope. Now carry on.

Recently many have noticed that some companies have preferred endorsements from international artists.

However, we still appreciate and laud those local brands who tie-up with Filipino singers and artists to endorse their products.

Brands such as Pepsi, Lucky Me, and Dunkin Donuts tied-up with the multi-awarded Pinoy Pop group SB19 to endorse their products.

Additionally, these are other brands that chose local artists to represent their products:

Firstly, we have the top endorser herself, Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli, who had commercial ads with Bear Brand, Colgate, and Jollibee.

Then, we have Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid who endorsed one of the biggest detergent brands in the world, Ariel.

We also have Jose Mari Chan, who typically makes endorsements during the holiday season. But, just this past 2020, he had an advertisement with the international snack brand Lays.

Finally, we have Nadine Lustre returned to music. She currently has an endorsement with the hair conditioner brand Cream Silk.

With that said, many still hope that local brands will continue to show support for local artists. The pool of OPM talents has been growing steadily and has been gaining international recognition through social media.
