Did ABS-CBN offer free mass vaccination among its employees?

Last Monday, March 29, President Rodrigo Duterte has allowed private sectors to procure vaccines as the government is having difficulties in securing enough vaccines.

With the administration giving private companies the freedom to acquire their chosen vaccines, last March 30, GMA Network announced that they are purchasing doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines. This is to ensure that its employees and talents are well-equipped during this pandemic.

“Ensuring the health and well-being of our Kapuso is our utmost priority as we truly value our people as our best assets. As a result, this vaccination coverage will enable us to continue delivering Serbisyong Totoo to the public as we all strive to win against this pandemic,” GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon said.

Meanwhile, TV5 also made its move to ensure the safety of its talents and employees as they also bought vaccines.

While other networks have made their own respective statements, ABS-CBN has yet to release an official announcement regarding their decision to acquire vaccines.

Despite having no announcement yet, the Kapamilya Network’s employees already expressed their gratitude to the TV station.

ABS-CBN employee Clarence Alvarado was proud to announce that he is a Kapamilya after the station is rumored to be preparing vaccine doses for its employees.

Another employee of the network, Shie Reyes, expressed how amazing the TV station after it is planning to have its employees be inoculated against COVID-19.

Kapamilya journalist Thea Alberto also agreed with Reyes. Alberto said that the Network, even without having a franchise to operate, was able to ensure the safety of its employees and talents by buying its own stock of vaccines.

True. <3 Kahit walang prangkisa, iba mag-alaga. 🙂 https://t.co/EeyFy6gSlg

Another Kapamilya employee couldn’t hide how thankful she is to the Network. The employee was overjoyed by how ABS-CBN is taking care of its employees.

But without announcements like other networks, do these reactions from Kapamilya employees confirm the fact that ABS-CBN is handling the vaccination program of its employees?

According to ABS-CBN journalist Atty. Mike Navallo, the network did not release such an announcement since it is not necessarily needed.

no need for PR
