iDolls member Enzo Almario calls out people asking ‘who’s Top and who’s Bottom’ in a relationship.
In an interview, Almario expressed how peeved he is with those asking about his preference in his relationship with his boyfriend of four years, Ceejay Serrano. He also pointed out people’s judgment when they associate someone as the Bottom.
“Ang pinaka ayaw ko na lang po talaga is yung nagma-matter sino yung top, sino yung bottom. At kung sino yung bottom, s’ya yung mas less sa paningin nila kasi nga sa tingin nila parang mas feminine.
“Di nila alam yung mas feminine pa ‘yung top, or masculine pa ‘yung bottom. Ayun lang ‘yung pinaka ayaw ko, yung bakit ba nagma-matter yun, bakit nagma-matter yang top and bottom na ‘yan, bakit sa lahat ng pwede n’yong itanong about our relationship bakit yun yung kating-kati kayo na malaman. Yung may mga gan’on lang.”
He also added that interest in knowing someone’s preference should only matter for dating purposes. Other than that note, it’s none of anybody’s business.
“Importante naman din yun pero for dating purposes. Pero, for someone like me na nasa relationship, tapos ang tinatanong is sino ba yung top, sino yung bottom. Kung sino yung may makitaan na feminine sa amin ni CeeJay parang iaano na nila na ah ito yung bottom, ah ito yung top.
“Parang, it’s none of your business. Ako, I can actually tell kung sino yung top at kung sino yung bottom, pero anong reason mo behind it.”
Almario joined the singing group iDolls with Matty Juniosa and Lucas Garcia in 2019 after competing in ABS-CBN’s Philippine Idol. They also got the fourth spot in Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 3.
They sang the theme song Hinog na ang Mundo for Boys Love movie-turned-teleserye, The Boy Foretold by the Stars: The Series. They also teased their upcoming gay empowerment song under Star Music and Star Pop.
