Alden Richards expressed his interest to work with Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz io a project during his contract renewal with GMA Network on Friday, October 15.
“Mas game pa po sa game,” Richards promptly responded to the entertainment press in attendance.
The Multimedia Star revealed that he is a huge fan of Alonzo and Cruz even before he became an actor.
He shared, “Idol ko po ‘yung dalawang ‘yun, e. A few years back, parang there was a Christmas party, parehas po kasi kami ng styling team ni JLC at tsaka ni Bea, so nagkita kami doon.
“And parang sa buong buhay ko po ng pagiging artista, first-time ko po naging fanboy kasi sobra kong idol ‘yung dalawang ‘yun, e.
“And [if] given an opportunity to work with them in a project, let’s go.
“Hindi pa ako artista, sobrang idol ko na ‘yung team-up ng John Lloyd-Bea, e.
“So talagang forever fanboy ako ng team-up na ‘yun.”
Alonzo signed a contract with GMA Network on Thursday, July 1 after staying in ABS-CBN for about two decades. Her former loveteam partner, Cruz, was officially announced as the newest Kapuso on Tuesday, November 9.
Richards previously congratulated Cruz on his network transfer in a video greeting.
Richards said, “Hello, Idan. Congratulations and welcome to GMA! Congratulations sa lahat ng mga projects mo and sana, sana makatrabaho ko talaga ‘yung idol ko soon. Ingat ka palagi Idan. Congratulations and welcome.”
Cruz also said he wanted to work with Alonzo and Richards in an interview with Nelson Canlas in 24 Oras on Tuesday, November 9.
Cruz shared, “Ang tagal na naming naghahangad na magkaroon or magkatrabaho. And si Bea being here in GMA, and alam kong may mga ilang projects sila na naka-lineup, silang dalawa ni Alden, gusto kong makigulo doon.”
Richards and Alonzo are set lead the Philippine adaptation of the hit Japanese drama series Pure Soul, which is based on the hit 2004 South Korean movie A Moment To Remember.
It will be produced by Viva Films, GMA Pictures, and APT Entertainment.
