Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach made her first visit to Canada. The currently reigning Miss Universe from the Philippines gave a speech about a topic relevant to her life which most people have gone through in their lives, bullying.

PIA WURTZBACK ANTI BULLYING CANADA

Pia talked about bullying to the students of the International Language Academy of Canada in Toronto wherein she shared her personal experiences as a victim of bullying as both a student and as a professional.

Watch Pia Wirtzbach’s 2016 Canada Speech on bullying on the ‘Balitang America’ report The Filipino Channel last March 1, 2016 as corresponded by Rachelle Cruz .

In the speech Pia said, “I experienced bullying in different forms. I experienced it in school. I felt like I was the odd one out growing up in the province because I was half-Filipino and half-German, so I wasn’t a full blooded Filipina and of course I was the tallest in my class and I felt kind of awkward. I went through an awkward phase and even when I was an actress, there was a lot of scrutiny there as well.”
“What we need here and the rest of the world is a change of values…to accept our differences. That is a fact of life. And the more we become accepting, the more we become tolerant. And the more we care,” profoundly added by the Miss Universe for 2015.
Pia has delivered a truly inspiring speech which resonated and moved most attendees in the venue. Pia Wurtzbach also added that she feels that she has matured because of her new responsibilities as Miss Universe
“I definitely matured over the last two months and I can’t believe it’s only been two months – just because so many things have happened already,” Pia added in her Balitang America interview.
