The GMA Network series First Lady would be extended for six weeks following the high TV ratings.
On Friday, February 18, compared to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s combined ratings that only got 9.6% that day, First Lady got a TV rating of 13.7%.
During its pilot week, the show’s average rating was 14.4%, wherein FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano only reached 10.3%.
The cast of First Lady is currently in a lock-in taping for the show’s ending. But since the series will be extended, they will return for a third lock-in taping.
The production staff of the First Lady has yet to confirm the scheduled lock-in taping for the extension of the series.
First Lady is the sequel to the successful drama series First Yaya, starring Sanya Lopez and Gabby Concepcion.
Lopez, who portrayed the character of Yaya Melody, ended her duty during the final episode of the show, which was aired in July 2021.
During its run, the show has received numerous positive reviews and truly captured the viewers’ hearts.
On February 21, Alice Dixson first appeared on the show as Atty. Ingrid Domingo.
